Congratulations to the beautiful newly married couple, Kara and Alan Burnett!
Kara and Alan met in an environment full of chance encounters: the Internet. Kara’s comment on a Cracked.com article inspired Alan to begin messaging her through AIM – an outdated communication device even then. They began dating about six months later, when Alan would fly from Massachusetts down to Florida about once a month to visit Kara in college, through an otherwise long-distance relationship. They spent 4 years dating long-distance before moving in together, and three years living together before getting married.
Are you ready for some #Pinspiration? Kara and Alan had a creative and beautiful wedding with a whimsical masquerade theme.
Kara bought her startling sweetheart neckline gown with a corset from Chantilly Place. She paired her dress with an elegant beaded shawl. Her bridesmaids were looking gorgeous in floor length dark purple off the shoulder dresses.
Mr. & Mrs. Burnett purchased their perfectly arranged flowers from the amazing florists at Sorella Flowers. The white flowers with a pop of purple go perfectly with their color scheme and decorations!
Kara and Alan were able to purchase a beautiful three-tier cake with a purple and gemstone decorations from the famously delicious Jacques Pastries.
Hair & Makeup
Carolina Velasco from Hair to Eternity did a fantastic job styling Kara’s hair in a beautiful up-do.
Terry Moran from Crown Special Events got all the guests onto their feet all night. Dancing the night away was one of the highlights of the evening!
Kara and Alan were able to capture each moment of their wedding with the help of Nancy Hancer from Hancer Photography!
“It is all about this moment – the one you imagined – catch it and hold it in your heart. Both in our photography and in our personal lives, we have held fast to the importance of this mantra. At Hancer Photography, we are a husband and wife team who love telling stories through our pictures and seeing the beauty in all of our subjects. We are dedicated to catching your special moments so that you can hold on to them for a lifetime.” -Nancy & Omer
