Are you as excited as we are for the upcoming 2015 wedding season? We asked some of our favorite vendors to give us an example of what we could be seeing this season from our brides.
Peonies remain the most requested flower by brides. Spring is really the best time of year to get peonies.
I still have many brides asking for clean classic arrangements, but more are starting to request the loose garden look. It’s a little more wild like it has just been picked from the field and has more greens.
Baby’s breath is making a comeback, believe it or not. Bunching it together can give it a whole different look.

Wildflower: The wildflower look has been in for a while but it has been really stepped up a notch! Lots of texture, lots of new interesting flowers and colors.
Terrariums: Having a terrarium is a fun alternative for a centerpiece! Using a nice bowl, bell jar or apothecary jar really adds a different touch.
Different Elements: Brides are using different pieces in with the flowers. Succulents, Air Plants, Branches, Lichen, Moss, etc. are becoming more popular. These elements add more texture and appeal to the centerpiece.
Unique Vessels: Out with the mason jars; in with the new! Couples are using different vessels for their centerpieces. Wood boxes, footed vessels or metal containers are some of the various options. Overflowing with big beautiful blooms these containers add a whole other element and charm to the centerpiece!
Fresh Garden Feel: One trend is a fresh garden picked look with traditional flowers. The shape that is used to achieve this look is called the crescent cascade; where your main focal flowers are in the middle and on the sides are the longer cascading vines. This combination gives the appearance that the flowers are overflowing from the bride’s hands.
We will be seeing brides incorporating their themes within their flower choices, just like this peacock theme!
A unique mixture of flowers like we don’t normally see, mixing colors with a garden feel!
Baby’s breath is back! This time we see it with a flair!
Brides will continue to have beautifully handcrafted boxes and vases (mason jars too) to hold their flowers; a bride here had a handcrafted wooden box, beautiful!

“Every October our staff here at Modern Bride attend both the Chicago and New York Bridal Markets, purchasing the latest styles in bridal gowns and accessories. We have outlined here what we think are the biggest trends for Spring 2015 are and hope you come to try them on soon!
This year designers worked to keep the classics alive while also incorporating new and fun twists into these designs. Lace proved itself to be a timeless addition to any dress from a low back fit and flare to a full-skirted ball gown. Swarovski crystal bodices, dramatic back and backless gowns, and a vintage look with a modern appeal are all hot for 2015. The designers weren’t afraid to play with color either, unveiling gowns in blush and blue, as well as gold and champagne. They haven’t forgotten about the tulle skirts, sweetheart necklines, and breathtaking trains either, allowing those who want to stick with the basics to find the perfect gown too!“

There is not one trend, everyone has their own ideas! Themes are big this season! Brides have seemed to like jewel colors or even a cake designed after their dress. If their dress has ruffles, many brides like to incorporate that into the cake. Besides cakes, we still have brides asking for cupcakes and dessert tables. Some brides like to give their guests more of a choice!
